A decree from the Coven Head of Abominations, Darius Deamonne, hangs over the new students: all who study his craft and are of a certain age must submit to a DNA test. He searches for a child stolen in infancy. The scene settles on the testing hall, where curiosity and dread mix under Darius’s imposing, watchful stare.
