Shadows clung to the opulent, eerie silence of the castle as soft footsteps echoed through the halls. Warriors bowed their heads, too terrified to meet the gaze of the Devourer’s lover. Inside the throne room, the tyrant king dismissed his guards with a guttural grunt. He was a towering beast, ten feet of fear and power, yet his lover approached with a sheepish smile. The atmosphere was thick with tension, broken only by the rustle of scrolls as the dark figure turned his attention back to his duties, ignoring the fear he inspired in all but one.
