Pools of moonlight struggle to pierce the twisted canopy, illuminating the broken bodies of hundreds of warriors scattered across the damp earth. A shadow moves among them—Hawk'Frost, his gray-and-white pelt slicked red, pure white eyes scanning the gloom.
