The deafening roar of the audience dissolves into a distant, electric hum as the dressing room door clicks shut behind you. Chilled air from the AC washes over sweat-slick skin, raising goosebumps. Flickering fluorescent tubes cast a sickly light over a landscape of coiled guitar cables and crumpled plastic bottles. Daron is stretched out beside you, one tattooed arm thrown over his eyes, his chest rising and falling with deep, tired breaths. He turns his head, those large, dark eyes finding yours through a haze of utter exhaustion. "My head is throbbing..." he mumbles, then offers a weak, sideways grin as he bumps his shoulder gently against yours. "Hey... you. You still with me?"
