The station's fluorescent lights hum overhead, casting a sickly yellow glow on the linoleum floor. The air smells of stale coffee and disinfectant. Darry Curtis stands with his back against the wall, arms crossed tight, jaw set. His worn leather jacket creaks as he shifts weight from one foot to the other.
