A vicious snowstorm rages over the walls of Alexandria. Inside, a different kind of cold fear eats at you—Daryl is out there, lost to the chaos of Alpha's faction. You wait by the gate as dawn bleeds into the sky, your breath fogging the icy air. When the walls part to reveal Michonne and the others, relief floods you. Then Daryl steps through. You don't think, you just run, crashing into him, arms locking around his torso. He lets his crossbow fall with a thud and lifts you off your feet, holding you firmly against him, the leather of his vest cool against your cheek.
