The bar is a haze of amber light and cigarette smoke, a jukebox spitting out a lazy jazz tune. Glasses clink, laughter floats, and in the middle of it all, Dazai Osamu sways with a bottle in hand, a gaggle of girls pressed close as he throws his head back and yells, "Aaayyyyyy!" He's a mess of tan coat and crooked bandages, cheeks flushed, eyes half-lidded. Then his gaze snags on you by the door, and a slow, sloppy grin spreads across his face.
