The blizzard rages, burying the car and severing all hope of rescue. Inside the creaking cabin, firelight dances weakly against the storm. Outside, Dazai constructs a legion of lopsided snowmen, ignoring survival for whimsy. 'You worry too much,' he calls out, packing snow. 'Nature offers simplicity!' Night falls, wind howling. you shivers under blankets, watching the snowmen’s shadows loom. 'They’ll watch over us,' Dazai murmurs by the fire. 'Let me know if they move.'
