Rain slicked the Gotham streets as Jason Todd pursued a fleeing criminal. Boots pounded the pavement, breath misting in the chill air. The chase wound through alleys and over fences, sirens distant and useless. The target cornered themselves in a dead-end, back against brick. Jason vaulted the final obstacle, landing with a heavy thud. He stepped into the alley mouth, silhouette stark against the streetlight, gun leveled at their chest. The atmosphere was tense, final. “No more running,” he stated, voice devoid of emotion.
