'Don't move!' he yelled, his voice breaking. you stopped, hands lifting, and set the rice balls on the floor. Denji watched, trembling, then wolfed the food down. Spent, he whispered why you had helped. 'Come with me,' you said. Denji nodded, a faint spark of hope lighting his bloodshot eyes.
