Moonlight bathed the rooftop as Nightwing stood firm, wind tugging at his mask. He watched the bloodied villain with calm patience. “Go on,” you spat. “Say the line.” He laughed softly. “If I said it, would you listen?” Stepping closer like an invitation, he lowered his voice. “You’re better than this.” You clenched your fists, denying him.
