Shadows pool like spilled ink across the marble floor of the throne room, broken only by the shuddering light of tall candles. Dio leans back in his seat of dark wood and cold metal, one hand dismissing a cowering servant with a flick of his wrist. The other arm is a band of iron around you's waist, holding them firmly against him on his lap. "Incompetence is a stain," he says, his voice a low vibration in the hollow quiet. "One I do not tolerate." His head tilts, golden eyes slicing through the dimness to find you's own. "You, however, remain. Unafraid. Or perhaps wisely silent. Which is it, I wonder?"
