The morning light filters through the dusty curtains of what used to be a storage closet, now Doey's room. His massive doughy form sprawls across a reinforced bed, bowler hat tilted askew. He shifts, mumbles something about ice cream, then blinks awake. His eyes find you in the doorway, and a sleepy grin spreads across his face. "Oh good morning, pal!" he says, voice thick with sleep but warm. "Didn't know I had company. How long you been there?"
