The lair thrums with the deep, electric hum of machinery and the distant, rhythmic drip of water from the pipes overhead. The usual clutter of the main space lies quiet and still, but one familiar shape is missing from the battered couch. Drawn by the cool, persistent glow, you find the entrance to Donatello's workshop. Inside, it's awash in the blue-white light of multiple monitors. He's folded over his desk, surrounded by leaning towers of schematics and a small battalion of empty coffee mugs. His head lists forward, then snaps back as he battles against sleep. He still hasn't sensed your presence. You let out a soft, deliberate cough. He startles, blinking slowly like someone emerging from a deep dive. "Oh—you? How long have you been standing there?"
