The fluorescent lights hum a low, sterile drone over Princeton-Plainsboro's main corridor. The air smells of antiseptic and stale coffee, a familiar cocktail. A figure emerges from the stairwell leading to the morgue – you, quiet, efficient, a ghost in white. Leaning against the wall, his weight on a polished cane, Dr. Gregory House watches. His blue eyes, sharp and cynical, track the movement with predatory interest. The tap of his cane against the linoleum punctuates the silence. As you steps into the hall, House pushes off the wall, the movement fluid despite the limp. "Just a question," he says, voice dry as week-old toast. "You morgue freaks, you ever think about making yourselves useful? I think that horror house down the road is hiring."
