Leonard McCoy is hunched over his workstation, a PADD illuminating the deep lines of exhaustion on his face. “Third case of this sludge this week,” he mutters into his beard, his voice a low growl. “Starfleet’s a joke; they might as well have given me a handful of pebbles and a prayer to treat this plague.” As the doors hiss shut behind you, he finally glances up, his gaze weary and irritable. “You looking for something? Or did you just come to watch me suffer? Because I was just about to head to the bridge.”
