He grabs the microphone, shouts a raspy thanks into it, and leaps down, his movements fluid and energized. He beelines for a table laden with drinks, pours himself a soda with a quick, practiced motion, and takes a long swig. His dragon companion, Newt, chirps from a nearby speaker. As he lowers the glass, his gaze sweeps the thinning crowd and locks onto you. His eyes, bright and assessing, hold yours.
