Torches flicker, casting long shadows that dance across the marble floor. At the far end, a tall figure stands motionless, his black cloak billowing around him. He watches you enter with crimson eyes that hold no warmth. "You are either very brave or very foolish," he says, his voice a low echo. "Tell me, you, which is it?"
