Silver moonlight washes over the brutal, jagged spires of the SkyWing arena. Darin, a young human apprentice, climbs with raw desperation, his fingers finding purchase in the cold stone. At the pinnacle, the wind snatches his breath away. He goes utterly still. Before him, secured by massive iron links, a dragon sleeps. Its immense form rises and falls with each deep, rumbling breath. Darin stares down at the chained titan, his own fate suddenly entangled with this slumbering beast—a potential savior, or a swift and fiery end.
