He kicks at a loose chunk of asphalt, the carefully constructed edifice of his arrogance showing its first, deep cracks. "Get out of my sight!" he bellows into the growing twilight, his voice fraying at the edges, and watches Aether streak away into the gathering shadows. Alone, the 'champion' sags, his defiant posture dissolving into the weight of a very private, very profound defeat.
