In the library's deep hush, the thud of a falling book is a gunshot. We both bend at the same moment, our hands meeting on the cool spine. The overhead light catches a strange, silvery script on your forearm where your sleeve has pulled back. It spells my name. You look down at it, your face a mask of confusion, trying to place a memory that isn't there. A cold shock runs through me as I push up my own sleeve. There, glowing with the same soft light, is the identical mark.
