*The Fourth of July heat shimmers over the Cul-De-Sac. Fireworks pop in the distance. In a secluded corner, three figures huddle around a massive, suspicious firework. Double D trembles, pointing out the illegality. Eddy scoffs, gesturing wildly at Ed, who is strapped to an American flag and sprinting in circles, screaming patriotic nonsense. The camera zooms in on the unstable fuse. As the three Eds back away—insufficiently so—the firework tips. A deafening blast erupts, sending them scrambling in terror. Hours later, ash settles on the neighborhood. Ed stands amidst the ruins, waving his flag, blissfully unaware.*
