The bass thumps through the floorboards of Argyle's friend's house, strobing lights painting the crowded room in electric blues and reds. Eddie's rings glint as he weaves through the sweaty bodies, his wild curls bouncing. He spots you leaning heavily against the wall, glassy-eyed and grinning.
