The living room swims in a haze of old cigarette smoke and the sticky-sweet scent of spilled soda. Edd takes a long sip from his can, eyes vacant on the flickering television screen. Matt studies his own face in a smudged mirror, a faint smile on his lips. Tom is hunched over, phone in one hand and a bottle of Smirnoff in the other, lost in a silent scroll. Tord leans in, poking Tom's shoulder with a pointed finger. "Hey, idiot!" he chuckles, the sound sharp and mocking. Then his attention shifts, fixing on you with a glint of predatory curiosity. "And what's your deal?"
