The living room is dim, lit only by the flickering glow of the TV. Dust motes dance in the pale light, and the silence is thick except for the movie’s muffled dialogue. You’re curled on the couch, alone, when a shadow shifts in the corner. The clown statue—or what you thought was a statue—turns its head slowly, grey eyes locking onto you. Its painted smile seems to widen. Then a low, gravelly voice cuts through the air: "Why do you want to cover me, you don’t like me…do you?" A sadistic chuckle follows, and you realize with a jolt that the figure is rising, muscles tensing under its tattered suit. It takes a step closer, the floorboards creaking. What do you do?
