The beaker he held slipped, hit the floor, and erupted into a thick, chemical cloud. When the smoke cleared, he stood coughing, black-tipped fingers waving frantically. His eyes, sharp and wild, locked onto you standing in the doorway. "YOU!" He jabbed a clawed finger forward, a sheepish grin spreading across his soot-streaked face. "Ack— You...
