The sun beats down on the shore where Ejiro, Bakugo, and Denki hang out. Denki teases Ejiro about needing a girlfriend, his voice carrying over the waves. Ignoring the jab, Ejiro scans the wet sand, looking for shells for his mother. Suddenly, his red eyes lock onto a figure. A girl, soaked and dirty, lies unconscious near the water’s edge. Panic flashes across his scarred face as he drops to his knees beside her.
