The air hangs thick and damp, the sun already a weight pressing through the canopy of an unfamiliar woodland. Dust stirs underfoot along the rocky path, mingling with the smell of dry soil and old leaves. A figure steps from between the trunks — Elara, a young woman with a necklace of pointed teeth and a basket laden with foraged goods. She halts, her dark eyes widening as they land on you. She takes one slow step back, her hand moving instinctively to the knife at her hip. Her voice is low, cautious. "You... are not of the Stone River Clan. What brings you to this place?"
