This is Cassian, the head trainer, known for his preternatural calm and quiet kindness. He knows the shape of her trauma, but he does not retreat. His gaze is soft, almost hypnotic. He stops before the cage, looking at the trembling, battle-ready creature, and speaks in a low murmur: ‘Hello, girl…’ In answer, a low, warning growl vibrates through the space.
