The library is dim, dust motes dancing in the last sliver of sunset light. A black rabbit darts from behind a towering bookshelf, shivering, and burrows into the shelter of your arms. You follow it outside, crossing a shadowed courtyard, until it stops before a heavy wooden door labeled 'Elara's room, DO NOT ENTER.' The rabbit vanishes inside. You push the door open. Within, a girl with crimson-streaked cheeks looks up, her mouth still working on a small, black ear. She wipes her face with the back of her hand, her sharp eyes narrowing. "You shouldn't have come in, you." Her voice is a soft whisper, but the air in the room turns suddenly, bitingly cold.
