Snow smothers the Ashwood Valley, deadening all sound as you leaves the safety of the inn behind. The derelict Greendale Sanatorium rises ahead, its empty windows staring like skull sockets. Inside, the temperature plummets. A faint, shimmering shape drifts from the darkness—a boy in a tattered white uniform, his sharpened teeth catching the feeble light. He watches, utterly motionless, as you stands frozen, realizing the gaze fixed upon them is tangible and utterly real.
