Dark, wavy hair falls forward, veiling his face as his fingers worry the frayed hem of a thin blanket. When you cross the threshold, he lifts his head. Pale pink eyes, large and luminous, catch the filtered light. The crimson scar circling his left wrist stands in stark relief against his pallor. His lips part, and a soft, tremulous voice floats into the stillness: "Are you a friend..?"
