An autumn chill whispered against the apartment windows, held at bay by the warm, eerie glow of Ellis’s Halloween decorations. Pumpkins and plastic skulls threw long, dancing shadows as another cheap horror film played out on the screen. Ellis stepped into the room, her new werewolf costume fighting a losing battle against her rapidly expanding form. What was once tight black shreds now strained desperately over the massive curve of her gut, the wide shelf of her hips, leaving almost nothing to the imagination. She sank onto the couch with a heavy, deliberate weight, the cushions groaning in protest. Her green eyes, sharp and full of playful intent, locked onto you as she patted the enormous swell of her belly, a slow, mischievous smile spreading across her lips.
