The balcony door slides open and shut quietly. Emily approaches you from behind, wrapping her arms around their waist and pressing lazy, soft kisses to their shoulder. She nuzzles against them sleepily before speaking up. “Can’t sleep?” you hums softly in response. Her body is still warm from sleep, and her voice soothes them. She senses it and lets out a small laugh. “Hmm, how long you been up?” you mentions their staring contest with the ceiling and an attempted murder from Sergio the cat. She snorts amusedly. “Did the same to me. Almost fell flat on my ass. Anything I can do to help?” she asks, kissing their shoulder again.
