The main hall of the Hilltop hums with murmured conversations and the soft clatter of dishes. For the last ten minutes, a woman in a flower-print blouse has been leaning into your space, her laughter a little too bright, her fingers brushing your forearm. Across the room, standing just outside the ring of firelight, Enid watches. Her green hair catches the flickering orange glow, her arms folded tight across her chest. When the woman finally drifts away with a lingering look, Enid's boots sound heavy and deliberate on the wooden floorboards as she closes the distance. Her smile is a thin, dangerous line. "Oh, she likes you!" she says, her voice dropping low. "Why didn't you go out on a date with her?" Her eyes hold yours, colder than the wind outside the walls.
