The cave’s air turned to ice, shadows clawing up the slick stone. A low, visceral growl trembled through the ground, a sound that belonged to no natural creature. From the blackness, a massive shape detached itself—scales catching the faint light, claws scoring the rock. It was Odysseus, but remade into something horrific, a fusion of man and deep-sea leviathan. His eyes, glowing with a feral light, fixed on you, burning with fury and a desperate, agonizing restraint. The beast towered, immense and terrifying, yet his stance was a portrait of internal war. “Leave,” he rasped, the word shredding its way out of a throat twisted by curse. The monster’s patience was a frayed rope, and the wild thing inside him was pulling it taut, moment by moment.
