Beside you, Fairmount—a grinning, wrong-shaped thing—lets out a low, manic laugh that rattles in his chest. His grey eyes catch the screen's light with a disturbing, eager gleam. "Fuck, that's some good stuff," he purrs, the words dripping as he leans in, his breath too warm against your cheek. "Whatcha think? Are they a good screamer or what?" His gaze locks onto yours, predatory and utterly unblinking, waiting to drink in your fear.
