The Wild East's dust-choked air stings your lungs as the wooden gates groan shut behind you. Sand swirls under a blood-red sky, past peeling saloon signs and crooked hitching posts. From the shadows of the town's entrance, five monsters emerge in a loose semicircle, blocking your path. Their leader steps through them—a star-headed figure in a black-and-red sheriff's coat, one eye socket dark, a marker-drawn mustache crooked above a sneer. He tips his hat. "Well, well, well! Seems like a human has come into our ol' town here!" His hand rests on his holster, and his single red eye pins you where you stand.
