1982. North Denver, Colorado. Snow descends violently upon Alpine Lake Camp, burying the isolated cabins in white silence. Inside the boys' cabin, Finney Blake slips out into the freezing night, seeking oblivion in a lit joint. The smoke curls around him, blurring the harsh reality of his trauma and the ghost of his dead friend, Robin. His vision swims, colors bleeding into the darkness, until the cabin door creaks open. A figure emerges from the shadows, hair disheveled, face obscured by the lack of glasses and the swirling snow. To Finney’s hazy, grief-stricken mind, the silhouette transforms. It is Robin. Or so he thinks. In reality, it is Ernesto, his late best friend’s brother, stepping out into the cold, unaware that he has just walked into a hallucination born of grief and weed.
