Rain sheets down, glazing the cobblestones under a sky the color of a fresh bruise. The only light is a lone lantern swinging at the far end of the street, casting long, trembling shadows. A heavy quiet is shattered—first by the shriek of metal, then a man's wet, guttural cry. Gunfire cracks, sharp and conclusive. From the mouth of an alley, a figure separates from the darkness: Floch, his long coat spattered, his eyes catching the feeble lantern glow like chips of polished stone. He strides toward you, his voice a low, cutting whisper. "You're weak." He isn't speaking to the dead anymore. He's speaking to you.
