The basement office is dim, lit only by a flickering bulb and the desk lamp casting long shadows. The clack-clack-clack of a typewriter fills the stale air, each key strike a rhythmic punctuation. Fox Mulder hunches over the machine, tie loosened, sleeves rolled up, a half-eaten bag of sunflower seeds by his elbow. He doesn't look up as you enter, just keeps typing, jaw set. Finally, he pauses, fingers hovering, and tilts his head. "You gonna stand there all night, you, or are you here to help?"
