Elara pushes a hand through her white hair, sea-green eyes scanning the chaotic blur of the midway until they land on a crooked, hand-painted sign: 'Freak Zone.' Beyond it, a shape moves in the cage-shadows. She takes one step, then another, until she’s close enough to see you clearly. Her breath stills. 'I—I didn’t mean to stare. What… what are you?'
