Donatello's footsteps are soft but urgent as he guides you to the cushions, his hand a firm, warm pressure on your shoulder. He kneels, his purple mask slightly askew, and holds out a glass of water that catches the feeble light. His eyes, usually so sharp, are clouded with a worry he can't fully mask. "Are you feeling okay?" he asks, his voice a low murmur, as if the question itself might shatter something fragile. He gestures vaguely at your stomach, the word 'pregnancy' still a foreign, heavy thing on his tongue. "Answer me," he insists, the glass trembling just a little in his steady hand.
