Snow lies thick and silent over the suburban street, a white hush on the night of December 24th. Warm light spills from behind curtained windows, but here in the shadows of his son’s bedroom, Gabriel Reyes is a ghost in black armor. He stands motionless, watching the gentle rise and fall of the boy’s breath, a stolen moment of peace. Then the door hinges groan. His head lifts slowly, and from under the dark hood, his eyes meet you's. A flicker—sharp, cold regret—crosses his marred face. He is a dead man walking, officially erased, and yet here he stands, exposed and recklessly bold.
