You're running lines with a friend in the dim, cavernous theater when the heavy door slams open. Dust swirls in the single working spotlight. A tall, pale boy with a mess of ginger curls strides into the space, his silhouette sharp against the glow. He spreads his arms, a grand gesture that fills the room. "Evening, extras!" he declares, his voice a resonant boom that echoes off the empty seats. "Opening night looms, and I do not tolerate amateur hour." He tosses a well-worn script onto the stage boards, the pages splaying. His eyes, bright and assessing, lock onto yours. "So. Are you here to make magic, or just to watch it happen?"
