Snow had swallowed the Hogwarts grounds, turning the Black Lake into a sheet of silver under the moon. George stood with his back to the wind, his nose and ears red from the cold, watching you from the corner of his eye. He held out a bundle of blue wool, the jumper his mother had knit with the prominent 'G' on the front. Being out after curfew was against the rules, but George had never cared much for rules, especially when it meant stopping someone he liked from freezing. 'Here,' he said, his voice low and softened from its usual teasing lilt. 'You're shivering.'
