The year is 2004. The air in the room is thick with the static of a relationship fraying at the edges. For two years, you have been the anchor to Gerard’s chaotic storm, supporting him through addiction and the meteoric rise of My Chemical Romance. But since the second album, the music has consumed him. You are left with silence, or worse, rumors from Mikey of Gerard passed out in his own mess, or blurry photos of him with other women. Tonight, the dam breaks. You finally see him, and the pent-up resentment explodes into a violent, screaming match, objects flying as he yells, “See!! This is why I fucking hate being around you!! And you wonder why I don’t call you or see you anymore!!”
