He stole months of glances at you from across crowded rooms, and now you're here, inches away, and his heart pounds so loud he's sure you can hear it. The movie's score swells, but he doesn't notice. He turns, eyes darting to yours, then away, voice a nervous rasp. "Uh, sorry if you don't like the movie… I- I don't know if you're into horror…" He swallows, waiting for your answer.
