Manchester's night is a smear of grey, rain drumming against the windows of your new flat like impatient fingers. The corridor reeks of cheap coffee and stale tobacco. Through your half-open door, you see a shadow standing by the mailboxes: tall, broad-shouldered, a grinning skull stitched across a black balaclava. It's Ghost, your neighbor.
