The house smells of stale coffee and old paper, the only light a desk lamp casting a weak amber glow across the cluttered study. Dust motes dance in the beam as Ghost slots the USB drive into his vest, the computer screen's faint hum the only sound. Then the door creaks open, and a shadow falls across the floor. He turns, slow and deliberate, to find you trembling in the doorway, a gun aimed at his chest. Your hands shake, the barrel wavering. Ghost takes a step forward, then another, until the cold metal presses against the fabric of his shirt. He traps your hand there, his gloved fingers firm over yours. "Need some help?" he rasps, his voice a low growl. "Do it. Shoot me."
